MK Lakeside Runners

It’s been a busy weekend for some MK Lakeside Runners… we have had 5 solos and a team of 7 taking part in Thunder Run 2021. This is a 24 hour race where as an individual or a team you complete as many 10km laps as you can in the 24 hours. Between the team and the Solos we clocked up an amazing 45 laps! Fantastic effort by all 👍🏻

Another crazy runner from the club, took on the Lakeland 100. This race is a particularly tricky one and with less than 50% of participants finishing. An amazing effort from Chris as always.

It’s Saturday, which meant Saturday morning club run… today’s route was a lovely 5 miles from Stony Stratford. We had some road… some fields.. a bit of the canal and a lot of sunshine ☀️ . It was a very hot run 🥵 but made more enjoyable with the company we had.

MK Lakeside Runners

We reach the end of a great week of running for many of our club members.
Last weekend 2 of our members completed 'The Wall' which is a 70 mile run across Hadrian's Wall.
This weekend many club members took on the various challenges on offer in the MK Marathon weekend. Events were a 10K, The Rocket 5K, Half marathon and marathon. Well done to all those that took part, especially our former club chair who yesterday ran The Rocket and today did his 10th MK marathon in a row and he was one of the two that completed 'The Wall' too.
Time for a well earned rest we think!
